Utility model

A simple invention – a new and useful solution of a technical nature affecting shape, construction or durable assembly of an object – can be protected in Poland as a utility model. In case of protection right for utility models, the procedure before the Patent Office is simplified in comparison to a patent, and the maximum protection period is 10 years from the date of filing the application. Correct filing of utility model application in Poland results in priority, on the grounds of which you can apply for patent protection on this solution in other countries, as well before the European Patent Office.
